Earlier this year, I coerced my close friend to come see Challengers, a movie I’d been anticipating since even before its deliciously provocative trailer came out ten months prior. I was leaning out of my seat, practically drooling, eager to soak up every detail on the big screen (and soak them up I did, as I went back to the theaters for this film three more times). However, as we walked out of the AMC, my friend remarked that he really didn’t feel the movie was gay enough.

Grace O’Brien is a Public Relations major with a minor in Film. Within DKA, O’Brien served on the chapter’s Executive Council as head of Public Relations for all of her junior year, and in the fall of her senior year, she wrote and directed the fraternity’s semester production, Ash Wednesday.

Sofia Lepore is a senior studying Business in Questrom with a concentration in marketing and business analytics. Lepore began her time at BU as a Film major, with a tentative plan to dual degree in Film and Business, but after realizing the daunting amount of Questrom requirements she would be taking on, she decided it was more practical to pursue business and be able to graduate in four years instead of six.

Where do I even begin with this amazing masterpiece? The Oscars happened over a week ago and I’m still bummed out that Society of the Snow didn’t win best international film of the year. However, it doesn’t take away the fact that it is one of the best international films made in 2023.
A Retrospective on Rushing DKA

As the DKA Beta Chapter prepares to accept another incredible class of pledges it is as good a time as any to look back at the different experiences of current Active Members (or actives) when they rushed DKA. Every rush experience is unique but many share the same features, like failing to dress on theme or a lack of excitement about the idea of Greek life, but all these past pledges went on to become incredible members and have loved their time as part of DKA.
